Questionnaires
In psychology research, questionnaires are a common way to study things we can’t directly observe—like thoughts, emotions, and personality traits. Researchers ask people to respond to a series of statements or questions, often rating how true something feels or how often they experience it. This helps scientists gather information about mental health, behavior, or attitudes on a large scale. While responses aren’t always perfectly accurate—people might misinterpret questions or try to look good—carefully designed questionnaires can still reveal useful patterns. Researchers use the results to find links between variables, compare groups, or track changes over time. They’re not perfect, but they’re one of the best tools we have for understanding the invisible parts of the human experience.
